A Preview of TEFAF Maastricht 2015

For 11 days each year in March, the fantastical intersection of Madison Avenue and Champs Elysées becomes reality in the Dutch town of Maastricht. At TEFAF Maastricht, the world’s most important annual art fair, the “streets” adopt the names of the most prestigious shopping thoroughfares from around the globe, bringing the world’s finest dealers in art, antiques, and jewelry under one roof.

Hailing from 20 countries, a total of 275 dealers (20 less than last year) will set up shop next week along Place Vendôme, New Bond Street, Sunset Boulevard, and the like. Nearly anything a well-heeled collector, or museum curator for that matter, could ever want will be on display for purchase at TEFAF, from paintings by Pieter Breughel the Younger and Peter Paul Rubens to a Mae West Lips Sofa by Salvador Dali.

And, of course, there is jewelry. Lots of jewelry. Twenty booths at TEFAF will literally sparkle with the most beautiful jewelry in the world. Rare, antique pieces from renowned dealers such as A La Vieille Russie, Hancocks and S.J. Phillips will glisten just as bright as new, shiny creations of Hemmerle, Graff, Buccellati and Alexandre Reza – who will be exhibiting for the first time this year at TEFAF.
Here is a preview of the goods that will grace the jewelry cases at TEFAF Maastricht 2015:
